Lucy Weston

Lucy Weston

Lucy has been a successful VA for two years, following over 20 years experience providing high-level administration support to individuals and teams, across City of London Financial Services Firms, the Corporate Travel sector, the BBC and Penguin Random House. She has an English B.A (Hons.) Degree.

Prior to becoming a VA, Lucy was a Teaching Assistant in a Greater London Secondary School, where she was passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs, both academically and pastorally. She is committed to helping neurodivergent adults and young people thrive. One of her current (neurodiverse) clients specifically sought Lucy out to work with her again, after they worked together in the Education sector and has since commented that she could not trust anyone else to understand her in the way that Lucy does.

Lucy works primarily with individuals and small businesses, helping with planning, accountability, prioritisation and diary and email management. Current clients include a secondary school SENCO (through the DWP ‘Access to Work’ scheme), Support Worker roles with ‘Celebrate Difference’ and UK Transcription companies. Former clients include a Corporate Travel Recruitment company, a London Management Consultancy, an Insurance sector partnership and a Business  Entrepreneur. Her portfolio of support work includes marketing and communications (including social media research and scheduling), preparing content for Blogs and Newsletters, research and reporting, proactive diary and Inbox management, copy-editing, proofreading and transcription. She is proud of her strong data/IT skills, her aptitude to work in parallel across multiple activities and her ability to adapt quickly and proficiently, in order to complete any task required, always to an excellent standard.

Before starting her own business, Lucy also spent eleven years working remotely, in a client-facing Operations role for Amex GBT (formerly HRG UK), as an integral team member in the Client Services & Liaison Team.  She provided an efficient, high-level, troubleshooting post-travel follow-up service for senior Executives of FTSE100 companies and UK Government and in this role, was able to utilise her excellent skillset for building and developing relationships.  Previous professional experience also includes Executive Assistant roles to Partner Managing Director level with City of London Investment Banks (Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, HSBC and Bank of America) across Trading Floors and back offices and Board-level support for a national Charity.

Former clients and colleagues have remarked on Lucy’s efficiency, empathy, charm and positive energy, which are instrumental to her ability to support her clients highly effectively, with integrity, tact and sensitivity.

Outside her VA role, Lucy enjoys her long-standing volunteer roles in primary education and youth cricket. She is a keen Artist, cyclist (including tours of The Netherlands, the Cotswolds and Wales) and gardener.  She also enjoys swimming, playing the piano and flute, trying out new recipes with her daughter (a proficient baker!) and making her way through her long list of books.

Lucy is fully insured against Professional Indemnity, Cyber and Data and Public and Products Liability and is registered with the ICO.
